Bell's Christmas to debut on Saturday 12/19!

Tank's Taproom will tap Bell's Brewery's version of a Christmas Ale this Saturday for our Christmas event starting at 4pm. This beer is being described as a scotch ale with 100% Michigan Barley and a mix of Pacific and Michigan hopps. Most reviews call it a mild beer and at 5.8% abv. very drinkable! 2009 Anchor Christmas on tap at Tank's!!

For the first time at Tank's we have my personal favorite Christmas beer from Anchor Brewing on tap! Anchor only distributes this beer on a very limited basis and only from Nov.-Jan. They are very hush hush on the style and contents but I describe it as a heavy creamy porter with heavy spice hints like nutmeg and cinnamon. Check out some beer geek reviews:

STONE Double Arrogant Bastard now on tap!!

We just tapped the very limited Stone Double Arrogant bastard so come on out to Tank's and try it if you dare! It's not for the timid measuring in at 10.5% abv with a "huge malt bill" and "belligerent hop profile" according to Stone themselves. Tank's Very Beery Christmas

Tank's Very Beery Christmas event is all set for Saturday December 19th from 4pm-10pm. Expect the usual free sampling and giveaways as well as many new hi-octane seasonal beers on tap guarenteed to get you in the Christmas spirit or at least in good spirits for Christmas!. Some of the beers that will be included this year are Gordon Biersch Winter Bock (7.5% Bavarian Style Dark Double Bock Lager), Anchor Christmas (Dark Ale with hints of nutmeg and other goodness!), Sam Adams Winter Lager (5.8% abv. Medium bodied lager with hints of cinniman and ginger), Bell's Christmas (Scotch Ale at 5.8%abv). So come on out and celebrate the hollidays Tank's style with a couple of pints of tasty brew!

Introducing Magic Hat #9

Tank's tapped the highly requested and limited release Magic Hat #9 from Vermont this week as we are the 10th in Tampa to do so. The #9 beer is a "not quite pale ale" with a slightly sweet finish. Some say it has a hint of appricot in the finish but Magic Hat is not telling! It is a session beer at 4.6% abv so drink up! For the first year in this market, Magic Hat will only be distributing the #9 but will begin distributing seasonals sometime next year.
